Despite being an "old" hotel the rooms were very clean and fresh, and everything worked. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Although their knowledge of English is limited (and my knowledge of Spanish even less) the staff managed to solve all my difficulties, eg post office, banks, laundry etc. The hotel charges, mini bar/room service/laundry are very reasonable - no cheap, compared to my experience of other hotels in this class. On both occasions laundry was processed and returned within a few hours. Breakfast selection good and plentiful. There was a full range even at 09:30.

Historic building (built 1858) Renovated rooms Simple but spacious rooms All rooms have its balcony Smoking in the rooms is allowed Friendly people, poor assistance
Rooms are ok; rest of the hotel: very poor Too much noice from 6am to 8pm (very transited street) + constructing inside. Shuttle service not included (2 take into account. Only transfer in costs 50% of a single suite per day) very poor Breakfast, no restaurant, no gym, no garden

the room i got was brand-new and generous sized with television, tv and balcony. location: the hotel was just next door to everything, shops, restaurants and other points worth a visit while staying in asuncion, the center of asunción and loma san jerónimo or manzana rivera.

For an old hotel, it has been very nicely remodeled, but some of the charm has been kept in the shuttered french doors and colonnaded balcony. The breakfast buffet is extensive. Rooms are spacious and clean, bathrooms are modern, and the price is right for a hotel like this.
