Charming atmosphere, but needs updates
The atmosphere of the hotel felt captivating and historic, and the staff were genuinely friendly and eager to assist. I enjoyed a pleasant rooftop terrace to watch the sunset over the city, making for memorable evenings.
However, the facility itself has seen better days. The rooms and amenities require some maintenance. the air conditioning was a bit outdated, and the breakfast offered limited variety. Noise from the busy street could be disruptive at times.

Oh, the crisp salads and culinary finds around the area were a delight! I treated myself to a casual bite at La Choperia Del Puerto, just a stone's throw away. The hotel itself offers a lovely breakfast spread featuring freshly scrambled eggs and a friendly atmosphere that feels cozy and welcoming. Plus, the spacious and stylish guest lounge was perfect for kicking back after a day of exploring.

The Palace in Asuncion has a unique historical charm that really appealed to me. The building was beautiful, and the atmosphere felt remarkably special. My room was clean and cozy, with a lovely terrace that offered a peaceful place to relax after exploring the city. I appreciated the friendly service from staff, especially Cirilo, who helped with my luggage and gave great local dining recommendations. The breakfast included freshly cooked eggs and toasties, a simple yet satisfying start to the day. On the downside, the air-conditioning was quite strong, making the room feel chilly at times. Additionally, the bathroom had some minor maintenance issues, but nothing that affected my overall comfort. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but with a few updates, the experience could be even better.

WiFi connectivity in the room inconsistent!!! The area feels a bit rundown, making nightly walks less enjoyable!!! Traffic noise can be bothersome, so bring earplugs if you're sensitive to sound!!!

The room was clean and cozy for our family, with friendly staff like Cirilo making our stay extra special. It felt like home away from home.
My wife says that it could use more family-friendly activities.

It was just a proper fit for a brief hiatus in Asuncion with outstanding value for money. The sunset from the balcony was probably the best part of my stay. If you can, avoid early breakfast timings since it's pretty basic.
